On 21 June, 2024 in the framework of political and security consultations between Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held a meeting with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland Robert Kupiecki in Kyiv.
The main focus was on cooperation in the security sector, in particular the supply of weapons critical for our country to counter Russian aggression. The Ukrainian side thanked the Republic of Poland for the military assistance already provided and the preparation of new arms packages for Ukraine. They also noted Poland's important contribution to the activities of international coalitions in support of our country.
The parties exchanged views on the security situation in the region. During the consultations, the interlocutors also discussed in detail the preparations for the NATO Washington Summit and Ukraine's expectations regarding the Summit's decisions.
The Ukrainian side highly appreciated the support of the Republic of Poland for the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the participation of the partner country at the highest level in the inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland.
In addition, as part of the talks, First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held extended security consultations with the Polish side.
