On June 17, 2024 political consultations were held in Kyiv with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan.
The Armenian Side was informed in detail about the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as regarding the results of the Global Peace Summit held on June 15-16 in Switzerland.
The Sides discussed topical issues of Ukrainian-Armenian relations, in particular, ways to activate political dialogue and intensify bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation.
In this context, the interlocutors noted the importance of further development of contacts at all levels, as well as the need to implement specific projects of Ukrainian-Armenian cooperation.
There was also an exchange of views on issues of regional security.
Yevhen Perebyіnis informed the Armenian delegation about the current situation and prospects of the European integration of our country, and also emphasized the readiness to exchange experience with Armenia in this area.
Within the consultations, the Sides also discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations and identified priority areas of cooperation in the international arena.
