On 21 November, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis met with Special Representative for the Eastern Partnership of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs David Stulik and Deputy Director of the Human Rights Department of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zdenka Caisova.
The parties discussed Ukraine's accession to the EU, as well as the agenda of the EU's Eastern Partnership Initiative and the search for new formats of cooperation. In particular, they exchanged views on further ways to modernise this EU initiative.
Yevhen Perebyinis informed about the progress and further steps in the negotiation process on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
David Stulik, on his part, reaffirmed the Czech Republic's readiness to support Ukraine on its European integration path and to provide political and advisory assistance to our country during the EU accession negotiations.
The meeting also addressed human rights issues in the temporarily occupied territories and emphasized the need to intensify international efforts to return Ukrainian children illegally deported to Russia.
