On June 18, 2024 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland led by Deputy Secretary General Sonja Hyland.

The parties discussed the results of the First Peace Summit in Switzerland and security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.

Yevhen Perebyinis highly appreciated the level of Ukrainian-Irish cooperation and thanked the Irish side for the comprehensive and consistent support of Ukraine.

The interlocutors paid special attention to Ireland's assistance on the way to Ukraine's accession to the European Union and the implementation of further international initiatives in support of Ukraine.

For her part, Sonja Hyland confirmed Ireland's determination to continue to provide the necessary assistance to our country and deepen the partnership with Kyiv to ensure Ukraine's victory over the Russian aggressor.
