On January 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Minister of State for Trade Policy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Chris Bryant.
During the meeting, Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude to the British side for its consistent and principled support for Ukraine in the conditions of the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation. On the anniversary of the signing of the century-old partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of maintaining political dialogue between the two countries within the framework of synchronized sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation.
The parties paid special attention to discussing possible ways to counter the circumvention of sanctions and coordination of future measures with international partners against the shadow fleet of the Russian Federation. The interlocutors also discussed the issue of strengthening economic cooperation between Great Britain and Ukraine.
Chris Bryant confirmed the strong solidarity of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with Ukraine and emphasized his readiness to provide comprehensive support to our state, in particular in order to strengthen the energy stability of our state in the face of Russian attacks on its critical infrastructure.
