On 27 January, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with Torgeir Larsen, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, and Frede Hermansen, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence of Norway.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Ukraine’s urgent needs in the military and energy sectors amid intensified large-scale aerial attacks by the aggressor state.
Yevhen Perebyinis briefed the Norwegian partners on the current security situation. Particular attention was given to coordinating efforts to further protect Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and ensure stability during the winter period. In this context, the Deputy Minister emphasized Ukraine’s appreciation for Norway’s leadership in providing military assistance and long-term support within the framework of the Nansen Programme.
The interlocutors agreed to continue close coordination between their respective foreign affairs and defence ministries.
