On December 20, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with Tobias Lindner, Minister of State of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to the German Foreign Ministry for supporting the Bundestag's decision to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The parties discussed the current situation in Ukraine on the background of the ongoing full-scale Russian war. They focused on the issue of further assistance of Germany in supplying modern heavy weapons for liberation of the temporarily occupied territories of our country, advanced air defense systems and energy equipment to restore critical infrastructure damaged by Russian terrorist attacks.
The sides exchanged views on the support of Ukraine’s course to join EU and NATO, international guarantees of Ukraine's security, and mechanisms of bringing the Russian Federation to responsibility for the crime of aggression against our country.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude to Tobias Lindner for Germany's position on supporting Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor and providing military assistance to our country.
For his part, Tobias Lindner assured that Germany would firmly stand by Ukraine and continue to lend its full support to our state.
