On October 7, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Chair of the German Bundestag’s defense committee, member of the Free Democratic Party of Germany, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann.
Yevhen Perebyinis and Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann discussed the current situation in Ukraine on the background of the ongoing full-scale Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. The counterparts focused on the issue of delivering further military assistance by Germany, including heavy weapons, for the liberation of the temporarily occupied territories of our country. They also exchanged views on the support of Ukraine’s course to join NATO, international security guarantees for our country, and the mechanisms of bringing the Russian Federation to responsibility for the crime of aggression against our state.
Deputy minister thanked M.-A. Strack-Zimmermann for her personal position on supporting Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor and the importance of providing military assistance to our country.
Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann assured that the Bundestag committee under her leadership, as well as the entire parliament of Germany, stands firmly by Ukraine and continue to do their best to support it further.
