On February 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the delegation of Foreign Office of the United Kingdom, led by the Permanent Under-Secretary of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Sir Philip Barton.

Yevhen Perebyinis noted the important role of Great Britain in consolidation of the efforts of partners on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, training Ukraine’s Armed Forces defenders, and expressed gratitude to the British side for provided temporary shelter to the Ukrainian displaced persons as well as financial and humanitarian assistance.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the issues of guaranteeing Ukraine's security in the future, supporting the prospect of Ukraine's NATO membership and further sanctions pressure on Russia.

In the context of preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference to be held in London on June 21-22, the importance of reaching practical agreements on foreign companies’ engagement in the specific projects of reconstruction of already de-occupied territories and the post-war recovery of Ukraine was emphasized.

Philip Barton assured that London will continue supporting our country and deepening partnership with Kyiv in accordance with the Declaration of Unity signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak on February 8.
