On October 10, as part of a tour of the countries of the Western Balkans, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinys paid a working visit to the Republic of North Macedonia, where he met with the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies Slavica Grkovska, the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Filip Tosevski.
Yevhen Perebyinis discussed with his Macedonian partners ways to further deepen the bilateral political dialogue, the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international organizations, as well as the participation of North Macedonia in the implementation of a number of international initiatives of our country - the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the International Crimean Platform.
The deputy head of the foreign affairs ministry of Ukraine also discussed in detail with Macedonian government officials the issue of European integration of the two countries as candidate countries for membership in the European Union, as well as further exchange of experience in this area. Separately, the parties exchanged views on Ukraine's accession to NATO and further support from North Macedonia on this path.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to the Macedonian side for joining the Core Group for the creation of the Special Tribunal on the crime of aggression against our country, as well as for the significant political, humanitarian and military-technical assistance provided to Ukraine.
