Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh met with Ambassador of the French Republic to Ukraine Gaël Veyssière.

The Ukrainian diplomat expressed sincere gratitude for the unwavering support of France for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as the significant military, humanitarian, and financial assistance in countering the Russian armed aggression.

During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral issues and exchanged views on global challenges related to events in the Middle East and Africa. The diplomats paid particular attention to the tragic events currently taking place in Israel.

In this regard, the Special Representative highlighted Ukraine’s position in support of Israel, which was earlier expressed by the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. He also emphasized that, for the second consecutive year, Ukraine has been resisting the military aggression of Russia, which employs similar terrorist methods and atrocities against civilians.

For his part, Gaël Veyssière reaffirmed his unwavering support for Ukraine and his country’s readiness to continue providing our state with the necessary military, financial, and humanitarian assistance.
