We are following with deep concern the ongoing escalation of the situation in the Republic of Sudan. We condemn the violence, which has already resulted in a large number of human victims.

We call on both sides of the conflict to exercise restraint and to maintain balanced approach in order to prevent further escalation of the confrontation and prevent casualties among the civilian population.

We are convinced that only within the framework of a peaceful, inclusive dialogue it is possible to achieve a common vision regarding ways to realize the fundamental interests of the Sudanese people, namely to build a democratic, prosperous society.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ukraine in Egypt maintain contact with Ukrainian citizens in Sudan and keep the issue of ensuring their security under special control.
