On 27 February 2017, in the framework of the High-level segment of the 34^th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with his Ivorian counterpart Marcel Amon-Tanoh.

Ministers agreed to intensify bilateral relations, in particular, political dialogue and expansion of legal basis, to promote trade and economic cooperation and to continue cooperation in the sphere of education.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in regional and universal international organizations, first of all, in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the UN Security Council.

A preliminary understanding on the mutual exchange of visits and on the celebration of the 25^th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries has been reached.
