On May 24, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha met with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Simonas Šatunas.
Andrii Sybiha expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian side for the political support and multidimensional practical assistance provided to Ukraine to counteract the full-scale Russian aggression. He also emphasized the need to increase the volume of defence assistance to our country.
The interlocutors discussed in detail the areas of expanding cooperation in the defence industry, joint production of drones and other high-tech weapons, as well as the repair of military equipment and training missions.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation and holding of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland in June and the widest possible involvement of the countries of the Global South.
The First Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude for Lithuania's continued support of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, which is especially important in the context of the upcoming NATO Summit in Washington.
