Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I met with Foreign Minister Mireya Agüero de Corrales ahead of the inauguration of Chile’s new President. 

I conveyed best wishes of success from the President of Ukraine to the recently elected President Nasry Asfura and thanked Honduras for its solidarity and support for Ukraine.  

I also invited Her Excellency to visit Ukraine. 

We discussed practical steps to strengthen our bilateral relations, including the possibility of political consultations, exchange of official visits, and expanded cooperation in science and other areas of mutual interest. 

I particularly emphasized the humanitarian dimension of our cooperation and invited Honduras to consider joining the International coalition for the return of Ukrainian children. Protecting their rights and future is a shared moral responsibility of the international community. 

I also briefed my colleague on the battlefield situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts to achieve a lasting peace. Despite Russia’s energy terror this winter, Ukraine remains resilient and continues to defend its freedom and independence. 

We urge strength and decisiveness of the international community in advancing peace efforts."
