On 7 June, Dmytro Kuleba held an online briefing for his colleagues from the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries: Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Finland and Sweden.
The Minister positively noted the high level of cooperation with the countries of the region in the field of security and defence, and outlined potential new vectors of interaction.
The Foreign Ministers of the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries assured of their readiness to continue their decisive support of Ukraine to defeat the Russian aggressor.
Dmytro Kuleba expressed his gratitude to his colleagues for confirming the participation of their national leaders in the Global Peace Summit on 15-16 June in Switzerland, as well as for their proactive efforts to ensure the widest possible geographical representation of its participants.
The Ministers also touched upon the issues of priority for Ukraine on the European and Euro-Atlantic tracks. In particular, the parties discussed the need to adopt a negotiating framework for the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
The diplomats coordinated steps to achieve maximum results in the areas of launching accession negotiations and the successful holding of the Peace Summit.
