On August 21st, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova held a meeting with the newly appointed Regional Director of UNICEF in Europe and Central Asia, Special Coordinator for the Refugee and Migrant Response in Europe Regina De Dominicis.
The parties discussed the priority areas of cooperation, including ensuring the continuity of the educational process in Ukraine, the return from the Russian Federation of illegally deported Ukrainian children and support for the process of their reunification with their families.
The First Deputy Minister and the Regional Director of UNICEF noted the effective coordination and synergy of the efforts of the Government of Ukraine and the Fund, aimed at protecting children in Ukraine in war conditions.
Emine Dzhaparova thanked the Fund's team for supporting the Government's activities in ensuring children's rights and overcoming the humanitarian consequences of Russia's full-scale armed aggression against our country.
Emine Dzhaparova and Regina De Dominicis expressed hope for further active cooperation and the successful implementation of UNICEF projects in Ukraine.
