On 22 August, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Ukraine Mateja Prevolšek.

Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to Slovenia for Ukraine's comprehensive support in its resistance to Russian armed aggression, in particular the practical assistance provided to our state.

Mateja Prevolšek thanked Ukraine for the help in overcoming the consequences of a large-scale flood in Slovenia and confirmed her country's determination to continue to fully support Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.

The parties also discussed the practical steps of implementing the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, supporting Ukraine on the way to full membership in the EU and NATO, as well as cooperation with Slovenia during its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council and the restoration of Ukraine.
