On February 8, 2024 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Iryna Borovets held an online meeting with Secretary for Europe and North America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Ambassador Maria Luisa Escorel de Moraes. The meeting was held in the context of the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Ukraine's Relations with Latin America and the Caribbean.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of Ukraine-Brazil cooperation and the global agenda, deepening cooperation with the Latin American region, as well as high-level bilateral contacts for the near future.

Maria Luisa Escorel de Moraes confirmed Brazil's constant support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and also expressed the readiness of the Brazilian side to continue providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Iryna Borovets expressed gratitude to the Brazilian side for consistently supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Deputy Minister Iryna Borovets congratulated Brazil on its first presidency of the G20, and also noted Brazil's leadership, which will promote harmony and cooperation among countries in solving global challenges.

During the meeting, in particular, ways of intensifying economic cooperation were discussed, as well as the implementation of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
