On January 29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa met with the Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.
During the discussion, the sides paid special attention to cooperation within international organizations, in particular the UN, OSCE and the Council of Europe. “We highly appreciate that Lithuania remains a reliable partner of Ukraine in face of Russian aggression. Ukraine counts on Lithuania’s support for our international initiatives dedicated to the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale aggression, in particular, during the high-level debates in the UN General Assembly, as well as other international events”, the Deputy Minister said.
The interlocutors also discussed the issue of the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia. “We are sincerely grateful for Lithuania’s active participation in the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children and assistance in the reintegration of children. It is important to continue working together on implementing initiatives for the speedy return of children to their homeland," emphasized Mariana Betsa.
