On January 19, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine Andris Pildegovics.
During the conversation, Mariana Betsa thanked the Latvian side for its continued support of Ukraine in the face of the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The parties discussed the development of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular in the context of Latvia's non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2026-2027.
Mariana Betsa and Andris Pildegovichs paid special attention to the discussion of events on multilateral platforms, in particular the UN, in the context of the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Ambassador of Latvia confirmed the continued support of Ukraine in the conditions of full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation and readiness for close cooperation to achieve a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace on the basis of the UN Charter.
