On March 17, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko held a meeting with a Czech delegation led by Aleš Vytečka, Director of the Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation Agency (AMOS) of the Czech Republic. During the negotiations, the parties exchanged views on key issues of bilateral defense cooperation and discussed the implementation status of the Czech Artillery Initiative.
During the meeting, Oleksandr Mishchenko expressed his gratitude to the Czech Republic for its comprehensive support, particularly in the security, political-diplomatic, financial, and humanitarian spheres. Additionally, the Ukrainian diplomat noted the active participation of Czech civil society in fundraising for generators to meet the needs of Ukrainians.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of the stable and continuous functioning of the "ammunition initiative" and expressed gratitude to the Government of Czechia for its extension.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to the urgent need to further strengthen Ukraine's air defense, and the importance of continued coordination within international formats was underscored.
The Czech side reaffirmed its readiness to continue working on the implementation of the "ammunition initiative," while noting that its full and sustainable realization requires intensified efforts to secure further international financing.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian side confirmed its interest in developing mutually beneficial defense projects within the framework of the state initiative Build with Ukraine.
The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, Luboš Veselý, also took part in the meeting.
