On 24 July, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine, Victor Chirilă.
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Ukraine-Moldova partnership and maintaining an active political dialogue between the two states.
Special attention was paid to current issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as to the next steps of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova on their path towards membership in the European Union. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the timely opening of all negotiating clusters and continuing close coordination of efforts throughout the European integration process.
The parties also discussed prospects for enhancing trade and economic relations, in particular, the implementation of joint infrastructure and cross-border projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to intensifying high-level contacts, as well as to holding the next round of Ukrainian–Moldovan political consultations at the level of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries.
