On 29 May, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Swedish delegation headed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Knutsson and State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Peter Sandwall.
The Ukrainian diplomat expressed his gratitude for the historic in size (EUR 1.16 billion) and content new military assistance package announced by Sweden today. "The fight against Russian aggression is not only Ukraine's fight, it is our common fight", said Yevhen Perebyinis.
The Swedish side, for its part, assured of its unwavering support for Ukraine and readiness to continue to provide assistance to our country.
The counterparts noted the high intensity of the bilateral dialogue and discussed the schedule and content of the upcoming events in bilateral and multilateral formats.
The Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude for the confirmation of Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson's participation in the inaugural Global Peace Summit to be held on 15-16 June in Switzerland and stressed the importance of involving leaders from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The interlocutors also discussed issues of priority for Ukraine on the European and Euro-Atlantic tracks.
