On 23 November 2020, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin received copies of Credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Nazrizoda Davlatali.

Yevheniy Yenin congratulated the Ambassador on his arrival in Ukraine and wished him every success in his future endeavors.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of intensifying the Ukrainian-Tajik political dialogue as well as trade and economic cooperation.

Yevheniy Yenin and Nazrizoda Davlatali reaffirmed readiness of Ukraine and Tajikistan for further cooperation in investment, cultural and humanitarian areas, and highlighted the significant potential for cooperation in education domain.

For Reference: in January-November 2020, Ukraine's exports to the Republic of Tajikistan amounted to $12.91 million, which is 63% compared to the same period last year. The decline in Ukrainian exports came as a result of restrictions imposed due the COVID-19 pandemic. Tajikistan's exports to Ukraine amounted to $376.6 thousand, which is 45% compared to January-November 2019.
