On June 7, within the working visit to the Republic of the Philippines, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Undersecretary for Infrastructure Management, Cybersecurity and Upskilling of the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Republic of the Philippines Jeffrey Ian C.Dy.

During the meeting parties noted that both countries face similar challenges in the areas of cybersecurity and introduction of the e-governance.

The Ukrainian side briefed the interlocutor on Ukraine’s achievements in the field of introduction of digital technologies in public administration practices and providing of services to citizens: Diia and Prozzoro platforms, electronic banking services, and the introduction of distance education.

Interlocutors noted Ukraine’s significant progress in the IT sphere and the willingness to share gained experience.

In the area of fighting cybercrime, the Ukrainian side proposed to conclude a memorandum on information exchange between the agencies involved. 

The parties also discussed cooperation within the framework of multilateral cooperation mechanisms.

The working meeting of the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha was held in furtherance of the agreements reached during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Republic of the Philippines.
