On 12 June, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Ambassador of Portugal to Ukraine António Machado.

The parties discussed practical steps to implement the agreements reached during the official visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Portugal on May, 28.

The First Deputy Minister thanked Portugal for its constant support of Ukraine and assistance in combating the full-scale Russian aggression. In this context, he stressed the importance of the bilateral Security Cooperation Agreement signed during the mentioned visit.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the preparations of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, which are now in their final stages. Andrii Sybiha noted Portugal's active participation in advocating President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and expressed gratitude for the decision of President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa to personally attend the Summit.

The parties focused on intensifying bilateral trade and economic cooperation and implementing joint projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine. They coordinated further steps to maintain the positive dynamics of political dialogue.
