Due to the coordinated work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, as well as with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the People's Republic of China, all stages of approval of the form of the certificate for honey exports to China have been completed. The procedure for opening the honey market in China, which began in 2019, has been officially completed and the market is now open to domestic exporters.
"In times of war, it is especially important to support Ukrainian exporters and open new markets for their products. It creates new opportunities for Ukrainian businesses to make money in foreign markets, which has a positive impact on Ukraine's wartime economy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with its partners, pays great attention to this work, and step by step we are able to bring more companies to more markets," said Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
"This is the first export market that the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has opened this year. A lot of work has been done, many meetings and negotiations have been held, and the state control system in Ukraine has been audited. We plan not to stop, but to continue working to ensure uninterrupted exports of Ukrainian products in order to strengthen economic stability and increase jobs in our country," said Serhiy Tkachuk, Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
The approved form of the Health Certificate for the export of honey from Ukraine to the People's Republic of China is published on the official web portal of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the section "International Cooperation", heading "Certificates for export from Ukraine" by the link.
In order to optimise the export process, we recommend that potential honey exporters read the Guidelines for State Veterinary Inspectors of Ukraine and Market Operators Intending to Export Honey to China.
The Chinese market is very prospective for the export of Ukrainian products and its opening for Ukrainian honey significantly expands opportunities for domestic producers.
