On 17 September, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, Inga Stanytė-Tolockienė.
The Deputy Minister praised the level of bilateral political dialogue between the two countries, particularly in the context of the recent visits of the President and First Lady of Lithuania and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
Yevgeny Perebyinis expressed his sincere gratitude for Lithuania's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as military, humanitarian and financial assistance to our country in the context of countering Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. He also noted Lithuania's leadership in the international coalition for humanitarian and combat demining and its active participation in other coalitions.
The parties discussed further practical steps to implement President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and support for Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO.
For her part, Inga Stanytė-Tolockienė assured of Lithuania's continued support for Ukraine and stressed the readiness of the Lithuanian government to further strengthen military, economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
